James R. Jackson

James R. Jackson is a Managing Director in the Sustainable Energies Group at CPPIB where he originates, executes, and manages investments in the upstream and energy transition sectors.

Prior to joining CPPIB in 2017, James spent 18 years at several small and mid-cap E&P companies in various operational, business development and senior management capacities.

In addition to the EAP board, James also sits on the board of VoltaGrid LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary, is a professional engineer registered in Alberta, and is a CFA charterholder.
