Michael Magilton

Michael Magilton joined Encino Energy, LLC in 2017 and serves as its Chief Financial Officer.  Previously, Michael served as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Sabine Oil & Gas Corporation where he led the company through a balance sheet and operational restructuring which concluded with its emergence from bankruptcy in August 2016 as a recapitalized company positioned for growth.  Prior to Sabine, Michael spent 15 years in various roles of increasing responsibility in energy finance and private equity at Quantum Resources Management, Aurora Capital Group, First Reserve Corporation, and Morgan Stanley.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  Michael serves on the board of directors of Kids’ Meals, a non-profit organization that delivers free, healthy meals to the doorsteps of Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children.
