Sustainability

Engaging Our Communities, Protecting Our Environment

At Encino Energy, we are committed to being an outstanding corporate citizen, with active, sustainable engagement within our communities. Just as importantly, protecting our environment is at the forefront of everything we do.

The communities in which we operate, and our environment, are central in our mindset as we work each day toward achieving our mission. We strive to make noticeable positive impressions on our communities as we leave as minimal a footprint as possible on our environment. To learn more about our commitment to sustainability please read our 2023 Community Progress Report here and our Baseline Water Sampling Program here.

Partnerships Make Better Communities

Our work in the community and commitment to the environment align well with our core value of doing the right things for the right reasons while never losing sight of our long-term focus. Encino also conducts significant education and outreach efforts within the communities in which we operate. Our team serves on various boards and volunteers in many education and outreach activities to make our communities better places to live and work.

Protecting Our Environment & Our People Go Hand in Hand

“Encino has as strong commitment to its stakeholders – employees, landowners and communities – to operate safely, responsibly and sustainably.”

The Environment As It Relates to Sustainable Oil and Gas Companies

Protecting our natural resources through meaningful improvements to Encino’s operations is at the forefront of our efforts. We remain committed to reducing our environmental footprint through ongoing innovation. We continue to find ways to better manage water reuse and recycling. We’ll continue to work toward a unified goal to voluntarily reduce methane emissions across the natural gas value chain to one percent (or less) by 2025, alongside other natural gas companies as part of Our Nation’s Energy Future (ONE Future) coalition. “Encino’s commitment to sustainable, safe and environmental conscientious operations aligns with our values and we are confident they will bring great value to the coalition. It’s exciting to see the growing commitment of the natural gas industry to reduce methane emissions all while supplying much needed clean, inexpensive and reliable energy to the U.S. and around the globe for years to come.”

Richard Hyde, executive director of ONE Future

Safety

Sustainable operations start with being a good steward of the environment and ensuring that everyone associated with our operations returns home safely each day. Whether it be Encino employees, contractors, or the communities where we operate, safety has and will always be a core value of Encino’s commitment to sustainability.

Our safety team attends Ohio Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meetings, as well as dozens of safety meetings throughout our asset area.

“Encino Energy was the first to answer our call for action. More important than the check, has been the partnership and collaboration we’ve had with Encino. We look forward to continuing to work on ways we can partner together.”
